Position: Veterinary Surgeon
David Feldmar qualified in 1994 and has been in small animal practice ever since. Before opening Terrington Vets in 2010 he worked in South Lincolnshire for 6 years at a franchise style practice.
In the past he has been involved in both "out of hours" provision only work for some years and before that in general small animal practice in several clinics in the South east of England. This has given him a broad general small animal based knowledge both clinically and surgically, whilst the time as a franchise branch partner served to give him a better perspective on the running of a practice. David is now the lead vet at the Sutterton practice.
Whilst he has no specialist qualifications in reptiles, he has kept reptiles for over 20 years. Although he no longer keeps any lizard species, he still has a collection of tortoises, and a large number of specialist python species, which he breeds in his spare time. This gives him a good grounding in most of the commonly presented reptile problems that occur in pet reptiles should you keep such pets.
He has always been keen on sport having particularly liked golf and American Football in the past. Now having reached his 40's he is still a keen health and fitness fanatic regularly attending the gym and various fitness competitions, though staying away from the contact sports. This and his reptile breeding hobby keeps him quite busy away from the practice and both offer vastly different comparisons to life at work.
In 2015 he got married to IIona and now lives happily with his wife and two dogs.
